Problem generating mesh : internal error boundary respecting

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello ,

New to COMSOL here.
I am trying to calculate the input impedance of an ungrounded Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) following the same approach given in the microstrip tutorial.

The metallization layer is pretty thin compared to the substrate (0.1 um to 640 um). I am getting the following error when trying the mesh, before solving the boundary mode analysis :

Error 4100 :
Failed to generate mesh for subdomain : 2
Failed to respect boundary element edge on geometry face 26.
blabla coordinates
internal error in boundary respecting.

I don't see how there could be any problem in the boundary or edge settings as I followed precisely what has been done in the microstrip example.
So, could it be a geometry problem ? possibly a too high aspect ratio ?

thanks in advance peeps,
cheers
Milad
