piezo-acoustic-ACDC interaction: results not consistent with experiment

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear All,

I am trying to model a buzzer that consists of Al membrane and PZT patch. The buzzer is excited by acoustic wave (given pressure) and is loaded with a resistive load. I cut the geometry in half and used symmetry (please see attachment). My problem is that the voltage across the load resistor in comsol is about 10 times smaller than the voltage measured in the experiment (both at their resonance frequency), and the collected power is about 100 times smaller. I tried different meshes and boundary conditions, but the results stay similar and wrong. Could anyone look at the model and make a suggestion? I would appreciate it very much.
