Extruding a 2-D Geometry / Bullnose Creation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello all,

I am performing a simulation of turbulent flow over a flat plate with a blunt leading and trailing edge. I would like to add a rounded nose to this plate and make it a 3-D problem by extruding it.

My Procedure:

Create the plate rectangle (2-D)
Draw the circle in the correct location at the leading edge (2-D) -- *****the radius of the circle is 0.000635 m******
extrude a distance of 1 for example

When I do this the circle becomes a square cylinder!! How can I work around this issue?

Thanks

Markthomas
