Comsol 4.0 - how to access the equations in a materials?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi, if I look at the equations in any predefined physics, I can see that they are accessing, say, mat.mu which then goes back to the equation defined in the Material associated with that domain. And "T" is an input to the model, so it computes mat.mu(T). Perfect.

I'm trying to enter the same data in as something to be accessed in the Variable, but mat.mu doesn't work, nor does mat.mu(T)

Any thoughts? ...Maybe it's impossible because the material is associated with domains whereas the variables are floating under Definitions?

Or maybe its my ignorance of the grammar of how to access stuff deep in a node.... (mat.water.basic.mu)

Thanks, John
