Hi all,

I'm trying to decide for a given budget if it makes sense to buy more slow cores or a smaller number of fast cores--can anyone offer a suggestion here? I'm looking at an E5506 with 8 cores, vs. perhaps an i7 with 4. I've allocated about 24gigs of memory.
