Event Coordinator

COMSOL is seeking an event coordinator to join its the Field Marketing team in the Marketing department onsite in Burlington, MA.

Job Description

As an event coordinator, you will be responsible for organizing and executing events for our North America market. In this role, you will work as part of a team and support the execution of exhibitions, training courses, conferences, workshops, and related administrative duties. You will bring your organizational and problem-solving skills to provide a memorable and positive experience for attendees. You will start by coordinating our exhibitions and training course programs and then potentially grow into other events and marketing tasks based on your interests and skills. As an event coordinator, you will communicate with and work alongside various stakeholders including marketers, content writers, engineers, and more. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Work with the Marketing and Sales departments to:
    • Identify goals and target audiences
    • Ensure consistency throughout all events
  • Support the research, planning, and coordination of the exhibition program
    • Book travel and lodging for staff attending offsite events
  • Assist in the creation of event programs and schedules
  • Coordinate the promotional materials for events, including email invitations and various creative pieces
    • Ensure program and event materials follow brand standards
  • Manage registration correspondence for a seamless attendee experience 
  • Maintain records and resources for event planning
  • Develop positive relationships with colleagues and external vendors

Minimum Qualifications

  • Self-starter, who works both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent at problem solving and suggesting innovative solutions
  • Current eligibility to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship for employment-based visas will be offered for this position

Helpful Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience working in event planning
  • Positive, driven team player
  • Bachelor's degree in event and hospitality management
