Software Developer – High Frequency Electromagnetics

COMSOL, Inc. is seeking a software developer in its Burlington, MA office. We are seeking an individual with a strong background in full wave, high-frequency computational electromagnetics such as RF and Wave Optics. The primary responsibility of this position is to enhance the capabilities of the RF Module and Wave Optics Module, add-on products to COMSOL Multiphysics®. In this position you will identify and create new key features for our modeling toolset. You will work with specification, implementation in Java, testing, documentation, and creating new example models relevant for industrial applications.

Requirements

  • MS degree or higher in electrical engineering, physics or applied mathematics.
  • Solid experience in designing/tailoring numerical methods for full wave electromagnetics.
  • Genuine interest in mathematical modeling and computational physics.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.

Meriting Skills and Experiences

  • Experience with time domain methods.
  • Experience with integral equation methods.
  • Familiarity with COMSOL Multiphysics®.
  • Experience with user interface design.
